I am doggy mom to 4 fur babies. The picture is of 2 of them. I have had dogs all of my life and have held several pet related jobs (dog groomer, pet hotel clerk, pet sitter, kennel worker).

Dog Seat Belts is just one of my dog related sites that I built to around my favorite subject: dogs!

I want to keep our fur babies as safe as possible. Most folks do not realize that their dogs need to be protected while traveling in a car too.

An unprotected dog can not only be injured or killed in a car accident but it can also injure you, the human passenger by being thrown into your body during impact.

Also a dog who isn’t seat-belted can cause an accident by getting in your way while you are driving.

For everyone sakes, it’s just a good idea to keep your dog secured in a carrier or seat belt during a car ride.
